Our mission is to promote and protect the interests of the Mississippi lodging industry while providing services and benefits to improve the profitability and success of our members and related industry partners.

A Closer look at the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association

The Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association is a non-profit, professional Association, chartered in 1930, now in its eighth decade, serving over 350+ members, including the Lodging Industry throughout the State of Mississippi, totaling approximately 50,000 rooms.

MH&LA provides leadership and promotes the Tourism and Lodging Industries in Mississippi. By working closely with Federal, State and local governmental agencies, MH&LA is instrumental in advancing the public interest and elevating conditions and standards within the Industry. Lodging Members are represented within the Association by their Owners and/or General Managers, and are joined by Allied Members, including Tourism entities, Convention & Visitors Bureaus,  Chambers of Commerce and Welcome Centers throughout the State. The MH&LA also offers a Charter Boat and Golf Package Program and other Package Programs soon to be introduced.  MH&LA endows Scholarships to students majoring in Hospitality Management.

MH&LA, which enjoys an excellent membership retention rate, hosts monthly Chapter Meetings, bi-monthly Board of Directors Meetings, and an annual Membership Meeting at the Southern Hospitality Conference & Expo where the “Best in the Business” Awards are presented.
